Cross-Platform Game of the Day - Mystery Numbers

Tuesday, December 13, 2016

While we don't consider ourselves as hardcore gamers, we do tend to get quickly addicted to casual math games. Give us a set of numbers, some form of logic problem to solve in a few seconds or more, and we can start round after round, often resulting in hours of continuous play. This week we have a new puzzle game - Mystery Numbers, game we really liked and is available for Android and iOS.

We are talking about Mystery Number, a math puzzle app that has interesting story too. It is inspired by legendary mathematician Ramanujan. The story is that Ramanujan created a magic square using his birth date (22-12-1887) in such a way that addition of all rows, columns and diagonals was same. Rohit Kulkarni found the mystery behind this square and created same kind of magic square using his birth date (29-01-1988). Rohit developed the algorithm and transformed this idea into a new puzzle. This algorithm can generate infinite number of combinations of such mystery numbers.

This game is divided into 4 difficulty modes. After solving the puzzle user gets certain points based on the difficulty mode. Total points decide the place of user on leader board. You need to use the numbers on the left side in the magic box where the rows are differently arranged with various numbers and placements. You need to use the numbers to match the total sum. If you are still not clear with the instructions, see the instruction video bellow.

The whole game features beautiful graphics and typography all packed in intuitive UI. The game is really interesting and if you are into unique puzzle math games you can get it from the links bellow.
