iOS App of the Day – UK Motorway Services Alert

When we’re out on the road, our phone serves as music, maps, weather guide, a place to find good food, and much more. There are some apps that we use on a daily basis, whether for commuting or when we’re out on the road on a longer trip. I'm sure you'll know some travel apps, but hey, maybe one can make your life a little easier, like the one we have for you today.

For all drivers in the UK, here comes an amazing app called UK Motorway Services Alert, brought to the iOS platform by the team over at Apploft.co.uk. It simply provides the UK drivers with alerts and notifications when there are services within 5 miles. Neatly and friendly designed, easy-to-use, this app is a must if you want help in finding services near you.

The alerts are pushed when the services are in 5 miles radius after every 30 sec, plus it works in the background while using another app, such as navigation app or something like that. In order to make a visible distinction between the services, the developers have added colors. For instance, services within 5 miles have distance in green color, services within 5 and 20 miles have distance in orange color, and services with 20 and 50 miles have distance in red color.

UK Motorway Services Alert is an app that includes all major services on Motorways including M1,M2,M3,M4,M5,M6,M56,M8,M9,M11,M18,M20 & A20, M23,M25, M27, M40, M42,M54,M61,M62,M65,A74 & M74,M80,M90,M180,A!(M). It can be downloaded for only £0.99 from the App Store.
